Newborn Baby Clothes
Newborn baby clothes can be a bit of a pain, especially for new parents, wondering what you need and how much it will cost and how many you need. It needn't be difficult or a pain, just follow a few simple rules and all will be well. First up for discussion is quantity, well the simple answer is the more you have the less times you have to wash them! Of course you don't need too many, given that babies generally grow quickly then they will grow out of the newborn garments quite quickly, usually within eight weeks or so. The trick is to buy enough but not too much, later you will find suggestions about what is enough.
What should you have? Well again this is not as difficult as you may think, during the first couple of months your baby will not need that much in the way of clothing as they are limited to what they wear and may be getting changed several times a day. The number one must have on any parents list of newborn baby clothes is of course baby suits, a one piece sromper suit, usually of cotton, that buttons up at the neck and between the legs. This makes changing baby easier as no need to remove any clothing to get at the soiled diaper. It is my experience that practically all babies virtually live in these garments in the first weeks of life. Other clothes your newborn baby will likely need are various other one piece outfits for dressing up days when baby is on show, sleepwear, usually one piece again and very similar to baby suits, in fact they can be used as sleepwear if required. Additionally baby will require hat, coat gloves and shoes to keep warm when out and about even in mild weather,, they suggestion would be to have about....
* 10 sets of body suits. * 5-7 sets of sleepwear. * 5-7 alternative 1 piece outfits. * A jacket or cardigan suitable for the season * Crib/Pram shoes * Hat * Gloves/Mittens
How much will this all cost and where should you buy it from? There is of course a very real chance that you get enough newborn baby clothes as gifts or during any baby showers, if thisis not the case then there are literally thousands of places to buy your babywear from. As well as the high street stores and their websites you will find an abundance of great value baby clothing on both eBay and Amazon that is safe, affordable, good quality and functional. These are not the only places but as when buying anything online I would urge you to be careful when buying baby clothes, particularly newborn baby clthing, and ensure they meet the safety standards required before purchasing and buy the best quality you can afford.
